Seefried Properties began construction this month a new Zulily build-to-suit facility in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, located in McCarran, Nevada. The 707,000 sf distribution facility will be a major expansion for the online retailer, which is a "shopping destination for moms."

"We're going to be able to achieve an extremely swift completion for Zulily," said Jason Quintel, senior vice president of the Western Region for Seefried Properties. "From having the lease signed to the expected completion date is merely eight months, which is unbelievable. It was clear early on that this facility is very important to Zulily's logistics network. With a lot of teamwork from the county, architect, engineers and contractors, we were able to put together a expedited schedule that will allow us to complete this facility by August 2014."

Zulily is relocating from a previous facility in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. The new, larger facility is a concrete-tilt distribution facility featuring clear heights, ESFR sprinkler system, ample truck trailer and auto parking, and numerous office and restroom cores for use by their many employees. In addition, Zulily is attempting to achieve LEED Gold status for the facility by utilizing many sustainable and environmentally friendly products and applications in the construction of the building.
