Seefried Properties Announces New Spec Development at Windham Lakes
Seefried Properties announced a new speculative development at Windham Lakes Business Park in Bolingbrook this week. With Clarion Partners as its capital partner, Seefried will develop the spec warehouse on a 12.9-acre site.
Scheduled for completion this November, the 237,050 sf distribution warehouse will be a bulk, 32-foot clear height facility. A short time after purchasing the land Seefried pre-leased 125,454 sf to an anchor tenant Berlin Packaging, North America's largest packing supplier of plastic, glass and metal.
"We are thrilled to announce this spec development. Windham Lakes Business Park is located in the infill I-55 submarket, in which it is getting increasingly difficult to purchase land," said Dave Riefe, senior vice president of the Midwest region for Seefried. "Berlin Packaging and our future tenants will have more than 1,200 feet of lineal frontage on I-55, which we feel is very appealing in our market."
Seefried plans to break ground on the warehouse in early May and deliver the building November 1st. Berlin will occupy the new building before the end of this year.
